These are the final products for the Headline screenprint breif devised by Oliver Dunn and Jonathen Lister.
Overall I am quite happy with the prints, the image is bold and dark and the colour is an effective, bright contrast with the black image. The type also sits well on the blue.
I am not too pleased with the line up of the piece. I know a bad works man always blames his tools, but I have never used the vacuum beds at Blenheim Walk, I have only used the beds. The vacuum beds at Vernon street line up amazingly, but the ones up at our college seem to push the paper about two or three mill out. Therefore every print is different. Some say it adds charm and that is what silkscreen is all about. I can understand this so am overall happy. But I would prefer an overall production value to be better next time. Also the deadline for the designs was dangerously close to the deadline for the prints. This was a little annoying and time wasn't taken as well as it could have been.
More pictures of the final show after the jump.
